ŠKODA Roomster GreenLine

The Roomster GreenLine model has not only an altered appearance thanks to the facelift for the basic series, but also, primarily, technical changes leading to further reductions in consumption and pollutant emissions.

The most significant new features include a 1.2 TDI CR DPF/55kW engine with a common rail injection system. For the first time for a mass-produced ŠKODA, a Start-Stop system and a movement energy recuperation system have been used.

The economical 1.2 TDI CR DPF/55 kW engine offers consumption of 3.4l/100km and CO2 emissions of only 109g/km. However, it is not only CO2 emissions that are lower, but also the values of other pollutants released. The new engine meets the emissions limits in the EU5 standard, which are stricter for diesel engines primarily in the field of nitrogen oxides and solid particles.

Measures increasing economy of operation
Measures increasing the economy of operation include the recuperation system, which helps make use of the potential of the engine’s movement energy to produce electricity. Other measures include a lowered and aerodynamically covered chassis and, last but not least, the use of tyres with low rolling resistance.

Start-Stop system

If the driver stops after a certain time, puts the car in neutral and releases the clutch, the engine switches itself off. When the clutch is depressed again, the engine starts up. In this way you can save up to 0.4l of fuel per 100km in combined and 0.9l in urban traffic.

Brake energy recuperation

When the car slows down, the current in the alternator increases and the alternator provides electrical energy to the appliances and charges the battery. When driving at a constant speed, the appliances in a car are powered by the battery, the alternator works with a lower burden and takes less energy from the crankshaft.

Gear recommendations

Signalling of the recommended gear is an invaluable helper for the driver when driving in town and on trips on other roads and motorways.

GreenLine logo

The same as other GreenLine ŠKODAs, the Roomster does not lack a stylised emblem on its rear door.
