The basis of the GreenLine version is a modern turbo diesel 1.6 TDI CR/77kW engine with a solid particle filter that produces a mere 114g of CO2 per kilometre and easily meets the demanding EU5 emissions standard. In addition, it can boast great performance parameters and gives the driver a comfortable and economical ride. The Superb Combi GreenLine has a maximum speed of 190km/h, accelerates from 0 to 100 km in 12.6 s and its combined consumption of diesel is only 4.4 litres per 100km.
The most important technical measures ensuring favourable parameters for the GreenLine include, in particular, the Start-Stop system, which reduces fuel consumption by up to 10% (in urban traffic by more). Other measures include brake energy recuperation, alterations to the engine control unit, tyres with reduced rolling resistance and aerodynamic optimisation of the body and chassis (for example the clearance is 126mm).
